Kishan Mangat is the co-chair of iCAN (The Insurance Cultural Awareness Network) which is an industry-wide independent not-for-profit network that was set up to drive multicultural inclusion and career progression across the insurance sector. iCAN currently have over 7,500 members and run several key initiatives to promote change in the industry, including a specialist jobs board and a self-service mentoring platform.
In 2021, Kishan also joined the board of iWIN (The Inclusive Women’s Insurance Network), part of the Worshipful Company of Insurers, supporting aspiring young female professionals with learning and development in the insurance industry. Kishan was a judge at both the Insurance Rising Stars Awards and the Elite Women in Insurance Listings.
Kishan was a specialist litigator defending large catastrophic injury claims on behalf of large insurers and corporate self-insured companies for a top 20 City law firm and was named as “Insurance Lawyer of the Year” at 2022 Women in Insurance Awards. In 2023 Kishan moved to working as in-house legal counsel in the General Counsel’s office at AIG.
